Brand new show! For the first time ever, Dorothy will have her own plane to travel around the world in search of the perfect rose! Dorothy wants to find the perfect rose to make the best ever rosy-posy cake. You will see fairies castle live on stage and of course, you'll sing and dance along with Fairy Clare, Fairy Larissa, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus with your favourite Wiggly songs and some brand new tunes as well.
Let's go up, up and away with Dorothy the Dinosaur's Travelling Show!

A great day of family fun from 9am - 2pm. Live entertainment includes performances by the school choir, poetry readings and Theatrics dance troupe. The Scouts are running an old fashioned sportsday including sack races and egg and spoon with heaps of prizes. Of course, there will be face painting for kids, along with massages and Tarot readings for adults. Lots of great stalls will be run by the children eg plants, books and lucky dips, along with local produce stalls. Come and see the beautiful children's craft display to be set up in our new hall. FREE kid's craft and dressing-up! Fun competitions, an auction (including 6'surfboard)...and heaps more...Gold coin donation

The exhibition will be launched on Friday at 6.00 pm with entertainment by the ‘Wicked Sisters’ then open from 10 to 4 pm daily until the 12th of September. Works entered will be judged in two categories, Pastel and Best Works in any medium. There will be $1,700 worth of prizes on offer for the winning entries.
The exhibition will feature works that reflect Indian culture. Past years have seen amazing works on Japanese, Celtic and Italian cultures. Also during the exhibition there will be talks on Indian culture and painting demonstrations.
Everyone is welcome and entry is only a gold coin donation.

Kate Gascoyne from Canberra returns to Batemans Bay to run African drumming workshops. Learn traditional African rhythms on the djembe and dundun drums - Kate will have your blood pumping and have you grooving along in no time! All levels welcome and drum hire available. 11 - 12.30 Beginners-Intermediate 1 - 2.30 Intermediate- Advanced $30 per workshop or $50 for both. $5 drum hire.

| Angry Doctor MTB Enduro

Date: 4th & 5th SeptemberVenue: Mogo State Forest This mountain biking solo enduro race offers two distances -- The Angry Doctor 100km or The Irate Intern 50km -- and takes place in the beautiful Eurobodalla.
After its successful and sold-out first three editions, this event has already won some serious credibility in the MTB community. With over 80% of the course made of sweet single or double tracks and amazing views, this might be one of the best kept secrets down under! Come down the day before to warm up or give MTB a go with the Nasty Nurse Prologue, an 11km loop to get you in the mood for more! So pick your distance and get ready for some seriously sweet riding!

Date: 10th & 11th SeptemberVenue: Batemans Bay Soldiers Club The orchid bug is catching – just ask any of the friendly members of the Eurobodalla Orchid Club at this year’s Spring Show.
Orchids are the largest family of flowering plants, occurring in every habitat from deserts to glaciers. A variety of beautiful species will be showcased over the weekend. Ask about the demon orchid Dracula or the small slipper orchid flower with a human face in the centre - the Eurobodalla Orchid Club members would be delighted to take you on a tour of the displays. Orchids and orchid accessories available for sale at the show.

Sunday, 12th of September is a day to mark in your diary for a real country race experience. There will be a fashion parade, kid’s entertainment and loads of giveaways. Check out your favourite horse as it struts its stuff in the dress circle. Enjoy a flutter on course or refreshment at the bar. Pack a picnic, pack the family and spend a day at the races.

| The Great Escape

Date: Thursday, 23rd SeptVenue: Corrigans Reserve, Beach Road Batehaven The Cyctic Fibrosis Great Escape is a car rally with a difference. It has forged a unique identity as being a friendly, laid back motoring event that caters for all walks of life. You could be a car buff who loves nothing more than to drive the Australian outback, or perhaps you are keen to get away with family and friends and try something a little different. You may like the antics that go with a fun car rally and love dressing up and being really loud and colourful – all in the name of having FUN – while raising funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) of course!
The destination leg of the rally is Batemans Bay, which coincides with the launch of the CF Red Rose House. Come and enjoy the spectacle of some of the most outlandish vehicles (& drivers) ever to be seen in Batemans Bay!

The Moruya Showground Open Day is more like a day long festival of events than a regular open day. There will be the best bred chooks and fowls on display as well as an extensive Tractor and Anique Machinery exhibition. A Junior Rugby demo match will be played and equestrian events for horse lovers. There will be music, food and refreshments on sale as well as other displays and demonstrations throughout the day.
Gates open at 9.30am and will close at 4.00pm. To enter, donate a gold coin with all proceeds going to the Showground Improvement Fund.
