The Beez In The House @ Tilba Valley Winery Venue: Tilba Valley Winery
Contact Details:

Tilba Valley Winery - 02 4473 7308

Berlin cabaret comedy band 'The Beez'  are performing their latest show 'In The House' at the Tilba Valley Winery.  The Beez have furnished their house with musical bric-a-brac from around the world – a potpourri of moving, silly, deep and sometimes meaningless pop and rock songs. These songs are, however, anything but common or garden variety. The four tonal interior decorators from the Beez rearrange and craft a song until a certain stylistically unmistakable Beez Feng Shui emerges. The Beez are at home on any stage and travel light-four voices, two acoustic guitars, an acoustic bass and an accordion and, it has to be said, more than a few costumes…The Beez are renowned as excellent hosts, serving lavish lashings of humour and musicality guaranteed to charm every audience.

Snacks from 6.00pm.  Show starts at 7.30pm

Tickets - $20

11 & 12 February - The Met Opera - The Enchanted Island
In one extraordinary new work, lovers of Baroque opera have it all: the world's best singers, glorious music of the Baroque masters, and a story drawn from Shakespeare. In The Enchanted Island, the lovers from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream are shipwrecked on his other-worldly island of The Tempest. Inspired by the musical pastiches and masques of the 18th Century, the work showcases arias and ensembles by Handel, Vivaldi, Rameau and others, and a new libretto by Jeremy Sams and Plácido Domingo as Neptune.

Clean Up Australia Day Venue: Eurobodalla Shire
Contact Details:

Maree Cadman 02 4474 1343

Registrations from volunteers are now open for Clean Up Australia Day in the Eurobodalla Shire which will be held this year on Sunday 4 March 2012.

Last year, more than 280 volunteers participated collecting 95 cubic metres of rubbish around the Shire. There were diving and kayak groups who got wet to collect trash from waterways and others who took up the opportunity on dry land to clean litter hot spots in bushland and along creeks, lakes and rivers.

Eurobodalla Clean Up Australia Coordinator, Maree Cadman, says becoming involved is easy. “Volunteers with a clean-up site in mind can register it online at www.cleanup.org.au. For those who are unsure of where to clean up, I can help them with a list of litter hot-spots,” said Ms Cadman.

People who want to get involved but don’t want to register a site themselves can join an existing group near where they live. Registered volunteers will be in the running to win fantastic prizes on the day.

For more information on Clean Up Australia Day in the Eurobodalla Shire, please contact Maree Cadman on 4474 1343.
